About SEEDS Art Market
A nonprofit online marketplace that empowers Indigenous artists by connecting their work with global audiences. Every purchase supports artists directly and reinvests back into the community.
Our Mission
Born out of Project Antelope, SEEDS carries forward its mission with an even deeper commitment: to create a space where Indigenous art is celebrated, protected, and accessible. Our marketplace features fine art, fashion, books, music, and home goods, all created by Indigenous artists who define the value of their own creativity.
For generations, Indigenous art has been appropriated, misrepresented, and undervalued. SEEDS Art Market exists to change that. Here, customers can trust that every piece comes directly from the artist, and artists are supported by Indigenous-led guidance, resources, and opportunities to grow their businesses.
SEEDS is more than a marketplace—it’s a movement. We believe Indigenous art is a thriving, billion-dollar industry, and the wealth it generates should flow back to Indigenous communities. By choosing SEEDS, you’re not just buying art—you’re investing in cultural sovereignty, sustainability, and the future of Indigenous creativity.
Where Indigenous artists and global audiences meet with integrity, respect, and purpose.
About Us
Tailinh Agoyo (Director) brings more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and design to her work. She began her career as Head of Design for Monitor Group’s West Coast offices and later served as Director of Public Relations, Marketing, and Programming for SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market. In 2014, she co-founded the Indigenous Fine Art Market, and in 2016 produced EAST, an Indigenous art show in Connecticut in partnership with the Pequot Museum and Northeast Indigenous Arts Alliance.
Since 2016, Tailinh has been the Director of We Are the Seeds of CultureTrust, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices through the arts. Under her leadership, We Are the Seeds has presented more than 143 cultural programs, including the annual Seeds Santa Fe celebration of Indigenous arts and cultures. She also leads the SEEDS Art Market, which continues this mission by connecting Indigenous artists directly with a global audience.
Colleen Farwell (Advisor) brings years of entrepreneurial leadership and creative storytelling to the team. She is the founder and CEO of Black Canyon Distribution, a company that provides services to and is licensed by Indigenous communities throughout the West and Midwest. Through Black Canyon, Colleen has connected Indigenous manufacturers with Indigenous retailers, helping small businesses grow and thrive in markets often designed to limit Indigenous expansion.
Colleen is also the author of I Will Carry You, a children’s book about the unbreakable bond between mother and child, featuring illustrations that interpret the works of six Indigenous artists. Her poetry was featured in the 2020 virtual artist series Gathering Seeds, produced by We Are the Seeds of CultureTrust. A proud member of the Crow people and descendant of the Gros Ventre, Colleen is the mother of six. She divides her time between her home on Mohawk lands near Akwesasne and her company warehouse in Arizona, and now contributes her experience and insight in an advisory role.
Taikwan Chin-Wright (Head of Product) brings over two decades of experience in technology start-ups and online businesses. She played a key role at a company later acquired by Microsoft, where she worked as a Product Manager and helped shape the development of new products. After Microsoft, she continued her career in Product Development, contributing her expertise to early-stage projects and guiding teams through the challenges of building innovative digital solutions.
With a strong background in product strategy and user experience, Taikwan brings her skills to SEEDS Art Market to ensure Indigenous artists have a strong and accessible online home for their work. Currently based in London, she shares her life with her husband and their daughters, and is passionate about combining technology and culture to create lasting impact.
